Preface
嫩江，古为肃慎之地，旧称墨尔根；在蒙语中是“善射”之意。年，（清康熙二十四年）筑城，为“边外七镇”之一。要冲之地特殊区位，《盛京通志》称其“北负群山，南临沃野，江河襟带，上下要枢”；墨尔根城曾为黑龙江将军衙门驻地九年，副都统衙门所在地达年之久。
Nenjiang,theancientlandofSushen,wasformerlyknownasMoergen,whichmeanstobegoodatshootinginMongolian.In,(the24thyearduringthereignofEmperorKangxi)itwasbuiltasoneoftheseventownsoutsidetheboundary.Asthespecialgeographicalhub,itwasdescribedas“relyingonenormousmountainsonthenorth,adjacenttofertilelandonthesouth,surroundedbyriversasthetransportationhub”bytheAnnalsoftheProsperousBeijing.MoergencitywasoncetheplacewhichhasbeenthestationofYamenofHeilongjiangGeneralfor9yearsandYamenofthedeputyadministratorhasstationedthereforyears.
抚今追昔，意在登高望远。建设“墨尔根古道驿站博物馆”，旨在挖掘嫩江流域九千多年的厚重历史、墨尔根城三百多年的灿烂文化、建县立志一百多年的现代文明。以墨尔根古道驿站为时代背景，追朔嫩江流域墨尔根历史人文、民俗风情，巡礼嫩江县百年时代变迁、现代文明成就。给人以启示，给人以教益。
